this means O God please make me walkout from lies (or) Non-real things to fact (or) truth (or) real things. According to Hindu, Vedham Brahmam-the Superior being is Real and the material world is Mitya - constantly changing/susceptible for re-arrangement hence said to be non-real.

Tamas means intellectual darkness (or) unknownness
